Job Description

ACCC Insurance Company is seeking a creative individual for Instructional Designer/eLearning Developer who is looking to work with subject matter experts to develop eLearning. Use your technological prowess to keep our company using the latest instructional technologies to remain at the forefront of online and in person education. With your excellent problem solving and analytical skills, you may work closely with the IT department to keep our systems up and running smoothly to minimize any downtime that could negatively impact our staff’s learning.

 

The Instructional Designer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following;

  • Plan, design and develop engaging and effective eLearning courses. 
  • Develop technically accurate, and instructionally sound asynchronous eLearning for use in standalone eLearning, blended learning, and the flipped classroom
  • Develop SCORM content using Camtasia or Captivate; build quizzes and interactivity
  • Test eLearning courses prior to their release; upload courses into the Learning Management System; maintain and refresh existing eLearning courses
  • This individual will work closely with subject matter experts, trainers, and ACCC department leaders to prepare content that meets the needs of ACCC employees
  • Reports the status of projects to the L&D Manager or Senior Instructional Designer.
  • Design a variety of instructional materials for ILT, vILT, and other programs as needed
  • Comply with ACCC Mission, Vision and Values
  • Meet all required standards of confidentiality

 

Job Requirements

To qualify, candidates must meet the following skill-sets:

  • In-depth knowledge of SCORM technologies
  • Excellent skills in Adobe Captivate and/or Camtasia
  • Working knowledge of web technologies (HTML5, Java script, CSS)
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft office applications
  • Understanding of adult learning theories
  • Degree in relevant subject and 1 year + successful experience as an eLearning Developer
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work without constant supervision
  • Ability to plan and run a full quality assurance schedule
  • Passionate about creating great interactive learning
  • Has a keen interest in all learning technologies
