Job Description

ACCC Insurance Company is seeking candidates for an in-house, desk Sr. Claims Adjuster. ACCC Insurance Company is searching for self-driven and results oriented individuals to build a long term career with us. The ideal ACCC Claims Adjuster is self-motivated and able to use their knowledge, experience, and independent judgment to determine liability and confirm coverage on insurance claims submitted by our insureds or claimants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Complex Adjuster:

  • Handle all aspects of claims including review of policy coverage, investigations, correspondence, negotiation and settlement of both property damage and bodily injury exposures.
  • Handle claims files appropriately to be in compliance with company quality standards
  • Handle more complex claims including multivehicle accident claims and fire & theft claims.
  • Reviews documentation on damaged property and vehicles to determine claims related damage to ensure accurate payment of claims.
  • Audits and verifies claimant and/or insured medical bills, expense bills, wage forms or other items presented for payment consideration or evaluation.
  • Use company systems to manage diary and handle auto claims promptly and proactively.
  • Adjuster uses knowledge, experience, and independent judgment to determine liability and confirm coverage.
  • Corresponds with agents, insured's, lien holders, attorneys, law enforcement officials, and internal departments to resolve claims.
  • Ideal candidate is self-motivated and able to keep on task with minimal direct supervision.
  • Performs other duties as directed.


Job Requirements

To qualify, candidates must meet the following skill sets:

  • Qualified candidates must have a minimum of at least five (5) years job experience as a Property Damage and Bodily Injury Adjuster in the auto insurance industry
  • Fire & Theft auto insurance experience preferable
  • Knowledgeable of laws, and regulations as it applies to auto insurance industry within its state.
  • Property & Casualty Adjuster License required. 
  • Strong and effective negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent computer skills required.
