Job Description

ACCC Insurance Company is in search of an auto property damage Auto Appraiser Supervisor for the material damage team. 

Our ideal candidate will have property damage appraisal experience and supervisor, team lead, or managerial experience.  As a member of the management group, the Appraiser Supervisor represents the company in areas within the scope of position. This position will report to the Appraiser Manager.  

Core Responsibilities for the Appraiser Supervisor:

  • Determines hiring needs of personnel in order to maintain the adequate employment levels to achieve production, profitability, and quality customer service within the department.
  • Assists in the interviewing and selection of Appraisal staff.
  • Provides development and training to new and existing employees.
  • In conjunction with Human Resources and Appraiser Manager, conduct staff evaluations, counseling, and disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner in all communication with staff, members of management, other departments, customers, and vendors.
  • Knowledgeable on state and public legal matters as it applies to the automobile insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of CCC Pathways software system.
  • Appraise vehicle for the damage identifying Unrelated Property Damage (UPD) and actual loss related damage.
  • Performs audit control to insure compliance with ACCC standards.
  • Recognize and identify body and engine parts.
  • Assists and supports Appraiser staff with claim issues. Provides support and guidance to maintain excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure Appraisal staff meet required job duties and performance requirements.
  • Conduct audits on staff appraisals.
  • Assist in various areas of department as needed, with ability to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Provides training and leadership to Appraisal staff and new employees.
  • Communicates by telephone, email, mail, and fax.
  • Personal computer skills, including routine database activity, in addition to CCC Pathways and/or other electronic appraisal formats.
  • Proficient computer skills in traditional formats such as Microsoft Office Products. In addition to ACCC platforms such as OCAS, Image Right, and Fax-Press.
  • Conduct meetings with staff, as necessary.
  • Attend Appraisal meetings, leadership meetings and trainings, and departments meetings.

 

Job Requirements

To qualify, candidates must meet the following skill-sets:

  • 3 to 5 Years of experience as an auto insurance appraiser.
  • 2 Years of Supervisorial experience.
  • Property and Casualty/Adjuster License
  • Must be I-Car Platinum/Level I appraiser, preferred but not required.
  • Must be ASE B6 Certified, preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is helpful.
  • Must be familiar with CCC One estimating System.
  • Non Standard Experience preferable.
  • Must be professional and react well under pressure.
  • Driving is an essential requirement of this position.
